The Goodman Legacy
Ross C. Goodman is a Las Vegas native who served as a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2001, Ross started a boutique criminal defense practice following his father Oscar B. Goodman who was a nationally acclaimed defense attorney. His legal career spanned 35 years and has been the focus of many books, documentaries and movies such as Casino. During these 20 years, Ross has been proud of his record of winning jury verdicts of Not Guilty, securing hundreds of dismissals, and negotiating favorable resolutions.
As a life-long resident, Ross was proud that Las Vegans voted with overwhelming confidence to elect his parents in back-to-back elections to lead Las Vegas for over 20 years. Oscar was first elected in 2001 to the first of three terms as the Mayor of Las Vegas. His mother, Carolyn Goodman, was elected in 2011 to succeed Oscar and is serving her final term as Mayor of Las Vegas. Ross is equally proud of his siblings accomplishments in the Las Vegas community serving as a Judge, Oncologist and medical family therapist in the Trauma Burn Care Unit at UMC.
